All of you children must have heard the name of Durga Bhabhi. She was also a great revolutionary of Police. She was born on 7 October 1907 in Shahzadpur village which is now known as Kaushambi district. At a very young age, he was married to Bhagwati Chandran Bohra of Lahore. Her father-in-law was a high official in the Railways. The British government had given him the title of Rai Saheb, but despite all this, the flame of patriotism was burning in the heart of her husband Bhagwati Charan Bauhra. Wanted to see the country independent, after the death of his father in 1920, Bhagwati Charan Bauhra openly dedicated himself to serving the country and started revolution. Seeing this, Durga Bhabhi not only felt proud of her husband but she also became dedicated to serving the country. In 1923, Bhagwati Charan Bauhra passed the BA examination from National College and Durga Bhabhi obtained the degree of Prabhakar. Durga Bhabhi’s maternal and in-laws’ house was prosperous. Her father and father-in-law had given her a lot of money for the times of crisis, which Durga Bhabhi He devoted all security to the cause of revolution and freedom of the country. In March 1926, Bhagwati Charan Bauhra and Bhagat Singh jointly drafted the Naujawan Bharat Sabha and founded it along with Ramcharan Kapoor. At that time many youth had taken oath for the independence of the country. Despite being a woman, Durga Bhabhi faced many difficulties for the independence of the country and she became an example for many women. After firing at Saunders, i.e. the British, who had lathicharged Lala Lajpat Rai in Lahore, Bhagat Singh cleverly reached Kolkata. At that time, the police was after Bhagat Singh and the police stopped him. At that time, Durga Bhabhi along with her small children, disguised as Bhagat Singh, left for Lahore in the train. The British could not recognize Bhagat Singh and Durga Bhabhi threw dust in the eyes of the British and brought the great revolutionary Bhagat Singh to safety. It is worth wondering what would have happened if the British had even a little suspicion on Durga Bhabhi. Durga Bhabhi used to provide great service to every revolutionaries who came to her house, hence all the revolutionaries used to call her Durga Bhabhi. She took training in using pistol in Lahore and Kanpur. Bhagwati Charan Bauhra died on the 28th of 1930. But even then Durga Bhabhi did not accept defeat. She continued serving the country till her end and became a source of inspiration for many women. The country can never forget the contribution of Durga Bhabhi. All daughters should take education from such great women and face adverse situations with courage and courage.
